Hi

My HP tx1250ea died about a year and half ago and I tried to take action against HP but hit a died wall time and time again and had to give up and buy a Dell laptop for my studies a lot better than HP. HP were happy to let me go with out a laptop or pay £200 for a repair even tho I said I needed it for my computing coursework.

I was searching again on google to see if anything chnanged as i still have my laptop and found the nvidia litigation to see that I qualified for all of it apart from having an address in the bloody US. This is a JOKE. I can't say how angry I am that it is only the US. This is defect everywhere yet only the US customers are allowed to get justice.

I need help on what to do next.

Thanks

Tom

I have just sent an email to the CEO explaining the situation using the sample letter in the step to step guide that you have on the forum.

http://www.nvidiasettlement.com/notice.html

How come only US customers get a refund or replacement????

Hello Tomelk31 and welcome to our forum.

Sorry to hear that your laptop has failed.

I am also sorry to hear that you have been unsuccessful so far in your pursuit of a resolution.

Our customers have had numerous successes against HP and it was all down to persistence.

Some had to go as far as filing a Small Claims Action but in the end they were successful.

The key to success is persistence. Don't let them fob you off, stick to your guns and you will succeed.

There is a step by step guide on this forum that will help you reach a positive resolution and that is here:- post13.html#p13

If you follow my advice in that post then you will succeed.

If you have any questions or if you need any advice then please let me know.

Best wishes

Paul

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I hope it gets settled before i have to make a claim as i am a student and haven't got a lot of money.

Why do only people with a US address qualify for the Nvidia settlement??

Also I need help with a letter I am going to write to the Credit card company that I used to buy the laptop with. Not sure how to word it compared to the letter with HP and what part of the sales of goods act to quote.

Thanks

Tom

Hello,

Just got of the phone to HP and they are offering me a refund for my laptop.

If had not found this site I would have given up and again, so I would like to thank you for all your advice.
