Hi Paul,

didn't think I would be back on asking for help again, quite so soon ;-)

I have a Toshiba NB100 netbook that today has started to play dead :-(.

Bought June 2009 and so is 2 months out of warranty , and it was bought from Comet so not much chance of a sympathetic response there !

It has a Mobile Intel® GMA 950 GPU so not a ' nividia defect ' :-(

It did show similar signs of the Nividia signs ....... but not all.

Have you have any units like this in for testing?

If its OK I will arrange for it to get to you for testing even if it is just for a repair quote .......

Ralph

Hello Ralphy,

I am sorry to hear that Ralphy, don't you just hate it when they decide to fail out of warranty!

A repair should be no problem, unless I can prove that the laptop failed after an unreasonable period of time in which case you may be able to seek recourse from Comet.

It may be it is just a simple component failure in which case it would be nice and easy.

If you book the laptop in as before then I will arrange to collect the laptop and will quote you on the repair, though if it is just component failure then you would be looking at no more than £65 including the collect and return carriage.

If you have any questions then please let me know.

Best wishes

Paul
