I was in the store today as it was taking too long for me to wait for their call.
they told me that basically it took them 2 weeks just because they were trying to check it somehow and couldnt find ANY official statement or prove that there was ANY problem with Nvidia. also that they didnt find ANY official statement from Nvidia.
finally they offered me that they will send it to servis and replace motheboard and I dont need to pay.
that makes me wondering why they will do it if they could find any prove about that problem?

Have you obtained an engineers report yet?

It is irrelevant that they cannot find any information with regard to the problem. They could not have looked very hard as the internet is awash with evidence.

Please let me know about the report and I will advise further.

I was asking here in Dublin in one small servis but the guy didnt know how to do it and what kind of paper or statement he need to made, so I dont really know now where to go now and what exact paper do i need.
i guess that they wont do it in authorised Sony servis.

just returning from PCW.
so the laptop has been away now for 4 weeks and still dont have it so i vent there and today they told me that its on way but it wont be repaired because they found out AFTER 4 WEEKS AND 5TH STILL RUNIN that its not on SONYs list!!!!!

SO THEY LET ME WAIT FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS CLEAR AND I TOLD THEM ON FIRST WHEN WE MET.

now im just waiting for my laptop when it will come back and then i will go to make eng.rep. and straight to small court but now i will be asking for FULL money return.

It is completely irrelevant that it is not on Sony's "list". There are a huge number of laptops that are failing which are not on their list so it really does not matter.

Once you receive your laptop back you should obtain an engineers report and should use that to sue PC World.

If your laptop is indeed inherently defective then you really cannot lose.

Customer dis-service seems to be alive and well at PC World. :j

I just dont understand this "what they r doing"
so first 2 to 3 weeks they have been trying to find out whats going on right!?
they knew from the first they i went there about this "SONY" list problem.
so why the hell they send to servis to UK and let me wait for another 4 weeks!?
and the 5th weeks is runing because I still dont have my laptop back.

I was just so stupid that I was thinking that they will be nice and do something but the true is that they just trying to find another ways how to get rid of you.

every person in PCW was telin me something different.

I will never ever buy something from PCW after this experience.

now i will just for the laptop and then eng.rep. and then I will go to small court.
now i can say that small court is maybe the only way how to deal with PCW.
tomorrow im going there again to talk to manager so will see but this time I dont think that something will be changed.

FREAKIN 2 MONTHS TOOK THEM FIND OUT SOMETHING THAT I TOLD THEM ON FIRST DAY.

It is the kind of service one would expect to receive from the back street, here today - gone tomorrow kind of company and not what one would expect from a major high street retailer.
