Hello Conecx, Have you obtained an engineers report yet and if so what were the contents? At this stage, as Dell are playing hard ball, you will need to submit evidence that the failure of your laptop is directly linked to the Nvidia defect. Please let me know and I will advise ...

I've just called the French Dell support again today, they told me that they will come this thursday to my home and replace the motherboard of my XPS M1530 for FREE! It sounds too good to be true!

Hello, Well, it is easy to see that the GPU in that photo was manufactured in week 9 of 2008, which means that it is highly likely to be also inherently defective. This can be evidenced by the code "0809A2" printed in the top right hand corner of the chip. Also, the code ending in ".0...
