Hello Borealisbeast, You would not necessarily need to hire a lawyer. Are you able to secure any free legal advice? I would indeed contact Best Buy and would tell them that your laptop has failed due to what you believe to be an inherent defect in the Nvidia GPU. They may well tell you that you are ...

When it comes to the cpr thing, I never noticed until your post, but I do believe that when I put more pressure on the left side, it seems to cooperate more. Though I usually try and press all the buttons at once when I'm bringing this thing back to life.
