Wow!!

Having read many of the threads just now I actually recall doing so previously a year or so ago......well, my card has just failed a 4th time, the seller says 'Take us to Court' (that’s a High Street Retailer). Despite 2 years of 5 Year Warranty remaining, this 4th time the Retailers Insurance Provider says they will only offer a cheque (initially a ‘Replacement’ was offered) for as this is all that ‘remains of the aggregate of warranty’ (note, in fact, we never got told of any costs applied previously to the 3 previous Mother Board Replacements) - Toshiba NZ say 'sorry its out of our warranty'…

Anyway, as I see the Graphics Card is a ‘Worldwide Recognized Defective Part’ and so happily tomorrow I will go to the NZ Toshiba Distributor and outline my view.

If I do not get joy (afterall I bought a new computer from the Authorized Dealer w/ full warranty but will be left with only a cheque which can buy 20% of a new model) I will have the web guy to build a page depicting the predicament and describing how the manufacturer, their agent and the agents insurer act wholly inappropriately, I will send this link to all my Business Partners and (to the annoyance of most) all my Address Book.

Toshiba keep repairing my laptop w/ dodgy parts and are effectively charging me for junk (as each repair has cost around NZ$1'000+ and has been eroding my insurance (not that I ever knew this)).

I am very happy to have found this site once more - cheers!
