Hello,

I am collating some information in order to produce a document that members can take to court to support their reasons for refusing a repair.

There are a large number of members currently proceeding to court against CCL, Comet, HP and PC World to name just a few.

All of the above are basing their defence on the fact that a repair has been offered but refused.

Basically repairs are being refused because the retailers have been refusing to provide either a written guarantee that the replacement mainboard is from a completely new batch and is free from the Nvidia defect and they have also refused to provide a part number of the board to be used so that we can verify this for ourselves.

I am compiling the document so that the claimant can then go to court and show the judge that in light of the overwhelming evidence of the unreliability of the repairs that they have been reasonable in rejecting such an offer.

"How can I help?" you may ask.

Well, if you have had your laptop repaired previously and that repair involved the replacement of the mainboard which subsequently failed, then it would be great if you would complete a statement that I am producing that basically includes your details, details of the retailer and your laptop.

Once I have these statements I can include them with the document which will then provide the judge with overwhelming evidence that the customer is perfectly reasonable in requesting the necessary information.

If you are willing to help and have suffered a previous failure after a repair then I would like to hear from you.

Please email me at [email protected] and I will reply back.

I will also be sending this request to our entire member list so if you receive an email relating to this then you know why.

Together we can win!

Best wishes

Paul
