The Nvidia Defect Forum

Hi, I bought the dv 2 years ago and last month the screen started to go blank after 20min, now it goes blank in one minute. Searching the issue it seems the nvidia is bad. I called hp and they have one solution: 400$ repair. Tonight I have uninstalled the nvidia from control panel-device manager...and I willcheck it tomorrow. Any suggestions?

Hi, I bought the HP from ebay in US. It was new with HP full warranty. ( I have called HP at that time to make sure)
I used Credit Card.

Unfortunately as you purchase in the US I am unable to help.

Here in the UK we have protection with the Sale Of Goods Act. Are there any such laws in your state?

Have you contacted the credit card company to see if they can help?

Do you have protection when purchasing with a credit card like we do in the UK?

I am sorry I cannot advise on the laws in your country as I am completely unsure of them.
