Hi Aaron,

Have you checked the Success Stories section on this website? They are very useful and even have John Lewis success stories. I myself had a defective laptop from John lewis which I successfully managed to get replaced with a new laptop with the advice from Paul and ciderboy.

Hello Aaron7,

Yes, plenty of customer have had success against John Lewis.

Not everyone posts into the success stories section so you may have to look around to find them but they are there.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best wishes

Aarron,

I had an HP laptop that I bought from John Lewis in Feb 2008.
In Mar 2009 I contacted the Cambridge store as it was getting very hot.
They asked me to bring it in for analysis. They gave me a receipt and said they'd contact me the next day.
As promised they called me the next day and offered me a full refund of the original purchase price.
I accepted and received my refund later the same day. I was so impressed with the service that I returned to the store to purchase a replacement. Unfortunately they didn't have a model I liked and so I returned home.
Within a day or two I had spotted an HP DV5-1110EM refurbished model on the Currys website.
I purchased it in Mar 2009 but the imminent failure of this machine is why I have joined this website today.
I'll be contacting Currys tomorrow to see what they say but was confident before I joined up that I'd be successful.
With the info on this site I'm even more confident!
