Absolutely fantastic, cannot wait to show it to the Judge or at least add it to the ever growing list of websites detailing " nvidia defect " shame we could not have got the news anchorman to mention " nvidia defect " a couple of hundred times...

Well done Paul

I never thought of doing this. If enough people write in to the watch dog program, the BBC may show an interest. And the more negative publicity, the better the incentive to improve the customer service to rectify the fault!

i have a HP Pavillion tx 1000 with [NVIDIA GO 6150] which looks identical to the one in the clip ( i say looks as i know that the innards can be a mish-mash).

i bought mine from PC world.

has anyone had a trouble free experience in getting their obviously defective tx 1000 replaced here in the UK?

i would like to know something positive before i start the process.

regards
Fizznod

I wouldn't necessarily say that customers have had a "trouble free" experience but they did reach a positive resolution.

The key to success in this matter is persistence. If you are persistent and stick to your guns and don't give up then you will succeed.

Time and time again PC World have had to refund or replace defective laptops so your case should be no different.

I hope the above helps.

Any questions please let me know.

Best wishes
