My XPS was my Inspiron was not I didn't want to deal with it though so I just sold it on eBay as is and now I wish I did that with my XPS.

I certainly got nvidia chip faulty in laptop from profile (i even tried to replace it with another (faulty one) from ebay.
The question is if it is provable to be inherently defective one or not.
And another one is if it still would be possible to defend that in my particular case.
Becouse there one problem: i attempted to fix it via giving it to company (abroad where they do such sort of things) which tried to use some soft thermo-fan to heat it and fix via this procedure. Now it is completely dead althogh it was booting into safe mode bofore.

Sorry to hear that your laptop contains one of the faulty GPU's.

Unfortunately as you have tried to replace it you may have scuppered your chances of being able to seek a resolution.

I say that because the defective GPU what was sold with your laptop is now no longer there and so it would be impossible to prove that the existing GPU is defective as it is not there to be able to test.

You have stated that your replaced the GPU with one purchased from Ebay and then you stated that you sent the laptop abroad for what appears to be a rework.

Is this the case?

Who did you purchase the laptop from and how did you pay?

It may be worth filing a claim and explaining what has happened. You could state that your laptop was out of warranty at the time of the repair and that you were unaware that the laptop had failed due to an inherent defect.

Please let me know and I will advise further.

But i afraid it is too late now
6 years time comes up on 05 of april.
I still got original GPU inside but there were attempts to repait it by non-toshiba service.
