Paul

Staples have made an outstanding offer as settlement for HP dv2130ea purchased Oct 2006 which failed due to invidia defect.

Other suppliers please note.

Staples offered £399 + £65 cash refund or goods (with no restrictions) to the full value of original £699 purchase price!!!!.

This exceptionally generous offer did not involve long drawn out negotiations with Staples or their legal representatives, but one phone call to Staples customer services and an email of all the documentation including the engineers report from Lapcure. The settlement being offered within 10 minutes of Staples customer services receiving the email.

Staples should be commended and recommended for their outstanding and exceptional customer service.

A huge thank you to you and the forum for all the help and advice given.

Regards

John

Hello John,

Well done on your successful resolution. :! :! :! :!

Staples never cease to amaze me for the way that they deal with their customers.

They have consistently shown that they really are the number 1 retailer for the way that they deal with their customers.

There is none of the baloney that some of the retailers put their customers through and so those retailers should hang their collective heads in shame.

Staples have, for the last two years, held this forum's crown for being the number 1 retailer. It looks like they may just make it for a third year running.

If I were to be offered the same deal I would probably take the equivalent value in goods, but that of course is up to you.

Well done again and I am glad we could have helped. :! :! :! :!

Good luck and best wishes

Paul
