Hi guys . Told you I would be updating as I go along . See the old topic "taking the battle to currys " .OK so come to think of it I started this on the 16th of this month and today is the 27th.After submitting the report from lapcure and drafting a lovely letter with lots of legal lingo highlighting the sales of good act I have finally received acknowledgement that curry's will be posting me £660 in voucher for a machine I bought for £950 2 years ago. Guess this was because I wanted to step on the gas and rather than posting the laptop I just went over to lapcure and got the report in a few hours . And guess what guys Ive sold the old laptop for £400 making sure that the laptop dealer I sold it to is aware of the defect of course . Don`t know why he still would want it ??? Therefore £660 + £400 = £1060 . Speaking of which thanks to the nvidia defect I earned... wait a minute not good at math...

£ 1060 ( 660 in vouchers + 400 for old laptop ) less £950 ( which I payed ) = £110 plus I used the machine for 2 years.

Any way thats not the point . The point is THANK YOU PAUL AND THANK YOU LAPCURE for the salvation from my misery.

And now I will be getting this baby and lushing out the £1060 on it. Available from PC World for £1099. No its not HP and no it does not have an nvidia GPU. And yes I will use my credit card to to have that peace of mind so I`m by default covered by UK law and yes I will get a worldwide extra year warranty from sony themselves on it.
