Hi - have had a reply from Staples and they require an independent report, so have just registered the job with your Lapcure site - so far so good!!

Hi Paul

Just thought I would update you - have today had successful conclusion with Staples! Very quick turnaround, having got the laptop back from you on Wednesday, I emailed them this morning with your report, letter and invoice, and they've emailed right back with an offer of £250 (including the report fee, so £185). Following the exapmle of another poster on the forum, I emailed and asked if they would consider a store voucher for the original purchase price of £399, and they have replied immediately to say (in the spirit of the season) a voucher will be available in the Plymouth store on Monday for £400!! The power of the internet - without your forum - the laptop would have probably gone in the bin!!

Thank you very much - and every success to all other posters who are currently trying to obtain replacement laptops.
