Just had phone call from team leader. They're not budging on £320.

They basically said accept or take further action.

So it's decision time. :?

Hi all, Sorry to keep posting so much but the saga continues.

I managed to find on google the e-mail address for John Browett (Cheif Executive DSG Group) and had a response within a few hours.

Dear Mr Griffiths

Thank you for your e-mail dated 27th September 2010.

Sorry to learn of the difficulties that you have experienced with some of the aspects
of our service.

I have assigned your case to a member of the Customer Service Medics Team and they will
be contacting you over the next few days to discuss your matter on behalf of the Dixons Retail Executives.

May I politely request, if you have not done so already, please provide a contact telephone number
in order for us to provide you with the best possible service.

Yours sincerely
David Wagstaff

Hi Paul

Had a phone call today from the customer service medics team. They reviewed the case and agreed to settle at £375 (what I had asked for in my e-mails) and explained that this should have been done originally.

Just got to confirm whether I want BACS payment or vouchers. Will probably take BACS though.

Many Thanks to you again Paul and the wonderful work you do on this site.

Regards

Leighton

PS: They mentioned nothing about giving the laptop back!!!!

Hello Griffiths,

Well done on your success :! :! :! :!

I am really pleased that you managed to get exactly what you wanted without the need to proceed to litigation.

Plus you have the bonus of keeping your old laptop, which you should get up to £125 as a failed laptop on Ebay.

Well done again and best wishes for the future

Paul
