set my laptop off encoding a film half way through the screen froze with some strange lines , i rebooted and ever since the machine boots for maybe 3 seconds then turns off then starts to boot again . Stuck in this constant cycle till you remove the battery/PSU .
Ive always found the laptop to run hot especially when encoding and bought various fans etc to keep the temp down i just thought i was pushing the machine too hard , until looking for a fix for my problem i found this site and introduced me to the problems these laptops were having .
So i thought id leave it over christmas buy another laptop for use whilst i undertake my battle with HP and start the fun in the new year .

So todays the day and ive been stuck all day in 404 hell of hps website unable to get any email address or anyone to answer my phone calls .
this is going to be a hard task but this website is giving my the strength to fight .

My G6065EA died March 2010 (screen blank) I contacted HP at the time with no luck securing repair/replacement or refund.
I stopped fighting my corner after too many calls & emails with no result :b .
I resurrected my complaint Dec 10 after stumbling across CEO email address I fired of a detailed email & yesterday I received a new higher spec model in-place or my doorstop :! (I was also offered a partial refund which I refused)

Well done on your success :! :! :! :!

Great news that you were offered a higher specification laptop, sometimes this is much better that a partial refund.

Well done again and all the very best for the future. :! :! :! :!

Thank you for your kind words Sharpie, glad I could have helped.

I am in the process of starting a new forum at http://www.inherentlydefective.co.uk and this will deal with everything else that is inherently defective, including Xbox's and Playstations plus the wealth of other failures due directly to the type of solder used during manufacture.

So, if you know of anyone with an Xbox with the red ring of death or a Playstation with the yellow light of death then please pass that forum address to them.

Why should customers have to pay for repairs to these consoles when they are so blatantly inherently defective.

The process would be exactly the same as it is for the Nvidia defect and furthermore the life expectancy of a games console is five years.

I hope the above helps.

Well done again Sharpie.

Best wishes

Paul
