Full refund + cost of engineers report!

After being sent round the houses: directed to HP, told my model was not in the HP recall etc, I finally got a full refund from the seller.

What finally swung it was when I sent this:

Apple admits GeForce 8600 series (my GPU) is affected by the defect http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2377

They then offered to replace mother board (with same chip then the offered replacement but I asked for a refund and got one.

All I will say is stick with it, I have never made a claim like this before, but read up on your rights on these forums and stick to your guns.

HP were utterly useless. I will never, never, never purchase anything from that company again. Ever.

I hope this URL is include in the resources thread, a company admitting to their products containing the defective chip. Apple are doing it right!
