Laptop Make: Fujitsu
Model: XA 1526
Graphics Card: 7600 GO
Purchased From: High Street Store
Amount Paid: 849
Date Purchased: 07 Feb 2007
Date Failed: 24 Aug 2010
Hi
My father bought a Siemens Amlio XA1526 from J.L around feb 2007. It was repaired under warranty 18 months later (a new mother board was fitted).
The laptop has lasted 24 months from the last repair. My father was using the laptop when he got a blue screen and it just switched off. He took it to a local computer shop who said it is either the mother board or graphics card.
After reading this forum I have told him to push J.L for a refund, he has written to J.L so waiting to see what they say.
I believe that the only reason that it has lasted so long is because he has always used it on a laptop riser stand so it would have had better air circulation.

The XA1526 has a go7600 gpu and is listed as one of the affected laptops. When you read about sony, Hp, Dell etc they have information on they websites regarding the problem. why have Fujitsu taken the information off their website? There is hardly any information on the web regarding the fujitsu laptops affected, most of the links from this forum have been taken down!
Is Fujitsu not admitting to the problem?

Hello Teff and welcome to our forum.

Sorry to hear of the problems you have been experiencing with your laptop.

I agree with you at the complete lack of support given to this matter by Fujitsu. In fact, if you look at their support site there is next to nothing about it.

I wonder why they took their pages relating to the defects down, in my opinion it seems a little underhand.

Don't let JL try and fob you off, be persistent and stand your ground.

If you need any help or advice then please let me know.

Good luck and best wishes

Paul
