I am really pleased for you though in a way it is a shame that it was the credit card company that had to refund you. I hope they have a policy of chargeback against HP as they are the ones who ultimately should be made to pay.

It is taken you a while to get to this position and I am pleased that you didn't give up and that you persisted until the end.

If you put the old laptop onto Ebay and state its current condition then you should raise between £100 and £125 which will further enhance your refund.
